Christina Maxwell is a New York City-based award-winning singer, actress, speaker and leader.

Maxwell has performed globally as a soloist in engagements with the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra, Lincoln Center, the United Nations, Festival Napa Valley, Santa Barbara Symphony, Festival of the Arts BOCA and more.  She has headlined sold-out concerts in Italy, France, China and Japan in venues including the US Embassy in Beijing, China and Nishi Hongwanji Temple in Kyoto, Japan, performing the first-ever concert allowed in the UNESCO World Heritage Site. Her performances have featured collaborations with luxury brands including Dolce & Gabbana, Naeem Khan, Mikimoto, Bulgari and Pomellato.

As an actress, Maxwell originated the role of Deanna Durbin in Papermill Playhouses’s production of CHASING RAINBOWS and was awarded “Outstanding Performance in a Leading Role” by New York Musical Festival for originating the role of Laura Evans in SONATA 1962.  On screen and in print, Maxwell has been featured in advertising campaigns for clients including Olay, Nissan, Emrosi and Humira.

In addition to her artistic career, Maxwell’s depth, biting wit and global appeal have distinguished her as a prominent speaker and master of ceremonies. She has advised companies on client cultivation and strategic partnerships, fostering collaboration between the arts and the corporate world.  Her clients include J.P. Morgan, Suntory, Mikimoto, Pomellato, Mitsui Fudosan, Festival Napa Valley, Japanese Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Shikohin.  In 2020, Maxwell pivoted from performing full-time and spent four years as Executive Director of High Line Nine Galleries for the global real estate firm, Related Companies.  She oversaw all business operations, managed the six-figure budget and advised Related on major art acquisitions and strategic partnerships. 

Her work both on and off the stage has been featured in the New York Post, Business Wire, Entertainment Tonight, Haute Living magazine, Broadway World, and in a number of television and radio appearances.

Maxwell lives and works from a place of grounding faith and a belief in the power of art and music to inspirit all audiences. While a student at University of Michigan, Maxwell founded “Music at Mott”, a University-sanctioned music therapy mentorship program for children battling cancer at Mott Children’s Hospital.  She continued this work in New York City, leading music and art therapy sessions for pediatric oncology patients in underserved neighborhoods through the nonprofit, RipRap.

She continues to work with children of all ages in various capacities, from concerts for kids to talk-backs with schools to guest lecturing for New York University, Columbia Business School’s Alumni Association and more.

Maxwell was named “Distinguished Young Woman of America” in 2012, which recognized her excellence in scholastics, leadership and talent.  Maxwell is a summa cum laude graduate of University of Michigan’s acclaimed Musical Theatre program, where she also minored in writing.  She received the “Alan Eisenberg Actors Equity Association Award”, awarded to one graduating senior with outstanding talent and career potential.  Maxwell is also a Council Leader for U.S.-Japan Council.
